Taking the Worry out of Your Software!

Ziff Davis, eWeek reviews Lotus Foundations
eWeek.com, part of Ziff Davis enterprises, recently released an overview of Lotus Foundations. It is simple, jargon-less and in a video format (and I love videos!) It is currently proudly displayed on their main homepage. Check it out.

P.S. I’ll try to capture the video and will upload it on youtube shortly.

  • Thanks Derek for your kind comments. The platform is indeed a very competitive offering to SBS.
  • I am really excited to find another Lotus Foundations blog out there. We're a reseller/partner up here in Calgary, Canada and we are trying to find creative ways to get the message out there as well. I am hoping to run some free seminars for prospective clients and likely target areas such as dental as well. Great video though and I hope a bigger push in marketing on this product happens since I think it is a great alternative to SBS.
  • Henry, very valid point. eWeek's target audience is very different indeed - most likely VARs and IT consultants. I know we had done some traditional ads in business magazines like Business Solutions, IBM Stock holder's mailer, few local Canadian magazines.

Maybe we need to get more dentists online? Where does your dentist research his IT? Does he call you directly or does he google it? If he calls you, then you are his IT expert and you are his main connection to us. In that case, eWeek works. On the other hand, if the dentist is setting up his own IT infastructure, then he must be googling us? Maybe a dedicated PPC ad campaign for Googlers?
  • As I posted on Ed's site: http://www.edbrill.com/ebrill/edbrill.nsf/dx/ew...

    Good video to see.

The challenge is to get this video in front of the Foundations target audience.

Using IBM's own example of the dentist's office, or any other small business that does not have dedicated I.T. staff; the likelihood someone in that business subscribing to eWeek and / or being a frequent visitor to the eWeek website is extremely low.

    Bilal - What say you?
