IBM Completes Acquisition of Net Integration Technologies Inc – Nitix

IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced it has completed the acquisition of Net Integration Technologies Inc. (http://www.nitix.com/), a Toronto, Canada-based, privately held company that offers a complete business server software solution for small and medium-sized businesses.

This exciting move will bring Net Integration’s innovative, award-winning server solutions into the IBM Lotus portfolio. With the close of this acquisition, the Net Integration business will become part of the Messaging and Collaboration segment of IBM Lotus, which is led by Mike Rhodin.

Kevin Cavanaugh, Vice President of IBM’s Messaging & Collaboration will be heading the whole initiative and Nitix’s CEO, Ozzy Papic, will head the IBM SMB initiative as well. This division will most likely be known as Lotus Foundations. It could also be known as IBM Foundations.
