scribblings about earning influence in the era of social web

In an ABSOLUT world, currency would be replaced by acts of kindness

ABSOLUT defies the recession and presents its first global marketing initiative since Pernod Ricard acquired ABSOLUT VODKA. In mid April, the brand launches “ABSOLUT HUGS” globally, a new TV commercial depicting a world where transactions are paid for with affection and gratitude, rather than currency.

It was first shown to 19 million TV viewers in the U.S. during the Grammy Awards presentation. Since then, an impressive number of people have already seen it on YouTube and now the campaign is rolling out globally.

Good effort to portray the human side of marketing or a nice way to drink err forget our recession related stress away.

This is amazing use of recession for marketing.

We all know that the reason for our recession is based on the f’ups from the corporate world. So now, most marketing will be based around ‘human communities’ and changing that impressed.

However, “can evil corporation be anything else?”
