This is a great win for everyone in the Lotus universe. Ed Brill has already blogged about it and it had been in my share-with-my-friends to do list for a while. Absolutely amazed by the PSC team and their hard work.
The case study highlights a Notes/Domino and Sametime deployment to organize, manage, and process the entire workflow of the Zain Africa Challenge, a televised academic competition.
Using a collaboration network based on Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino software for messaging and workflows, and with Lotus Sametime for real-time communications, the producers of the Zain Africa Challenge streamlined work that spanned the continent, improving productivity and allowing for better localization.

We are announcing the beta availability of Lotus Notes on the Google Android phones. If you have been following my blog, you have surely checked out the availability of Lotus Notes on the iPhone and iPad. Now it’s Android’s turn. Additionally, my friends in Lotus Connections tell me that the next version will support Android as well.
Like our other versions, Lotus Notes Traveler for Android will be a no-charge software that can be downloaded by Lotus Notes customers and provides two-way, over-the-air synchronization of information between Lotus Domino and mobile devices.
The software allows Lotus Notes users who synchronize their Domino mail, calendar, contacts via Lotus Notes Traveler to view that data on the devices that run the Android 2.0 or higher operating system. This includes the Droid, Nexus One and many other devices.
