FAIL: New Snow Leopard Bug Destroys All Your Data

I guess it’s time to call it truce, eh, Apple? 9to5Mac just reported that A new bug in Apple’s Snow Leopard OS deletes users’ profiles along with all of their data.

Mac users have reported starting up their computers as normal and finding themselves logged into a guest account. All of the files in their existing account appear to be gone.

The data may be recoverable, and Apple is working to resolve the problem. In the meantime, Snow Leopard users should back up their data immediately. As Mac becomes more mainstream and the lifestyle computing platform choice for many, be sure to keep your eyes open for more of these. No platform is 100% secure and one must use common-sense to protect him or herself from possible disasters.

On another note, my Windows 7 box is pretty solid at the moment. I’ll be backing up my Mac in the meantime though, just in case.
